Confederation of School Sport Association of Southern Africa (COSSASA) hosts high and primary schools games in Botswana.

Delegation of 70 athletes and officials left Lesotho today to Francistown Botswana today.
Track and field events kick off from May, 5 to 11.
“Seven countries confirmed to participate in this endevour”, said General Secretary of Lesotho Institutions Sport Association (LISA) Posholo Posholi.
Posholi said countries include SADC countries namely Lesotho, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Eswatini, and Malawi.
According to Posholi games start on May, 7 to 10.
He showed that Lesotho will compete with the likes of Manqabang Tsibela in the 1,500 meters and Senauoane for 800 meters.
The General Secretary stated that the last year’s champion was Zimbabwe and the games took place in the same country.
“We should recall that Manqabang snatched gold medal in Angola under the auspices of African Union Sports Council under 20 Region 5 games in 2016”, said Posholi.
He said these games are part and parcel of development for players under 15 and 17.
“The very same team is going to be core in 2020 AUSC Region 5 under 20 games to be played in Lesotho by 2020, therefore, they need to be nurtured”, concluded the General Secretary of LISA.
