Alliance Insurance Company takes the lead to supporting sports and other endeavours in Lesotho.
Three premier league football clubs Matlama, Lioli and Lesotho Correctional Services get funding from Alliance.
The company is the main sponsor of the Alliance Sports Media Awards (ASMA) in partnership with Lesotho Sports Reporters Association (LSRA).
Alliance sponsored ASMA 2017 and this year continues with ASMA 2018 which is kicks off in November.
Chief Financial Officer Mohapinyane Taole did not want to dwell much on this issue.
He said when time comes he would be detailed on different support implemented by Alliance during the past 25 years.
He said this is just the launch of series of events that would follow soon.
Taole showed that Alliance was established in 1992 by a small group of five Basotho.
“There are more than 100 employees in our company as compared to five people in 1992”, said Taole.
Alliance possesses 13 offices in 10 districts of the country.
They have been able to give back and sponsored many activities such as Lesotho Special Permit project by the Ministry of Home Affairs, police stations renovation and building of the new police station at Mapoteng.
According to Taole Alliance succeeded together with Basotho who are policy holders.
He therefore thanked all stakeholders of Alliance Insurance Company.
Taole said Alliance is a one stop shop, because it provides services that include funeral policy, employee benefits, motor insurance, householders/owners insurance and Meraka Livestock cover.
“25 years achievements we have reached came as a consolidated effort with Basotho who have policies with us”, said Chief Finance Officer.
One of the long serving employees said she joined Alliance in 1993, when the company was one year old.
Khathatso Matsoso who works in claiming department showed her excitement to be part and parcel of Alliance since 1993.
“I am also proud about services Alliance provided to Basotho since its establishment”, said Matsoso.
She said during their time there were about 10 staff members in different sections.
