Lesotho Volleyball Association public relations officer says winter open tournament preparations are almost finished.
The tournament is scheduled on July 13, 14 and 15 2018 at Lehakoe courts.
Mr Buller Phalatse said LVA is left with the official launch of the sponsor of the tournament and the registration of the teams.
“Invites are already out to the potential teams”, said the PRO.
Since the tournament is open local, international and recreational teams are expected to partake. Therefore, about 20 teams are expected to be involved in this effort.
According to LVA PRO local teams are expected to pay M500.00 for registration and international M700.00.
He said prizes for both men and women categories will be:
- M5000.00
- M3000.00
- M2000.00
Phalatse concluded by saying that the games would start at 16:00 hours on 13 at Lehakoe Recreational Center.
LVA Open Winter Tournament sponsor Mr Khethollo Tsakatsi confirmed the sum of M20, 000.00 has been put on a table.
Tsakatsi said the money has been afforded to LVA to use it for their needs regarding the tournament.
He said his aim is to give back to the society and to be known as a business person. He is dealing with Japanese cars.
The Director of Khethollo Tsakatsi Japanese Car Importers said he would love to sponsor for more years to come provided the profits become positive.
“You can see that business is uncertain, so we do not know what future holds for us”, said Tsakatsi.
