Central Region International Police Association members are busy preparing for the trip to Durban on June 21, 2018.

This five days tour is expected to attract 62 members from the region.

Central Region encompasses Maseru Central Charge office, Maseru Rural and Thaba Tseka districts.

The region’s chairperson said it is not the first time they visit Durban. Mr Lefu Thaele said they carried out a tour to the same place in 2015.

He showed that apart from meeting other police officers in Durban for networking and learning from each other, they would visit places of interest such as Pelican Island in Richards Bay and others.

Thaele said since IPA programmes include social responsibilities, professionalism and cultural activities in April this year they handed over two blankets to a Mosotho woman whose house was burnt in Mafeteng.

From there they did maintenance on a road to Maseru Rural Police station at Mazenod.

According to the chairperson the above two activities were performed with the purpose of giving back to the community.
