Federation of Lesotho Rugby (FLR) hosts rugby sevens competition on September 15 and 16 at Setsoto stadium in Maseru.
Eight teams are expected to participate in this endevour. They include Lesotho, Zambia, Republic of South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Botswana.
FLR treasurer and Lesotho team manager Mr Morapeli Motaung said RSA brings Sharks, Blue Bulls and Cheetahs clubs.
Motaung was reluctant to reveal whether there would be prize money or not. But he stressed that the champions will go away with trophy.
He said it is the second time they have this kind of competition in the country.
“Last year we played well and became position four out of 10 teams”, explained Motaung.
He said lesson learned from that competition is that they should increase players with relevant size. They also need to improve their tackling and long range passes.
Motaung showed that it is crucial to retain ball position at all times.
Last year’s champions were Zimbabweans, concluded team manager.
