Mountain bike race which is schedule for September 24 this year contributes tremendously in uplifting tourism in Lesotho.
Lesotho Sky founder Mr Christian Schmidt told Lesotho Sports Blizz that 66 participants from the world would not leave Basotho empty handed after the event.

Schmidt said every time since 2011 when Lesotho Sky was born in Lesotho business communities benefited a lot.
The same sentiment was echoed by Lesotho Tourism Development Cooperation.
“It is true that Lesotho Sky mountain bike race contributes in the development of tourism industry in the country”, said the LTDC public relations officer Mr Molapo Matela.
He said competitors will book in local hotels while they are in the country for this sport.
Due to the magnitude of the riders temporary employment will increase.
“In actual fact we are going to experience direct and indirect employment”, explained Matela.
Matela showed that apart from financial awards for the winners, Basotho products will become part of the awards too.
He said good hospitality to the guests would encourage them to come back with their families; as a result more tourists will visit the country.
