Softball national team learned lessons

After a hard and well fought battle to mark our spot in the African Softball qualifiers which were held in Pretoria, Mbolekwa Stadium this past weekend the goal was surely met.

This was said by Lesotho Baseball and Softball Association public relations officer Mr Lisema Mapetla.

He further indicated that through all challenges and obstacles their national softball team stood firm to leave a lasting impression in the face of the world that they are here, and coming for more.

Mapetla showed that lessons were learned from these games and as much as they did not qualify for the World Softball Championships, the experiences and knowledge gathered will be very valuable in working very hard to build the quality and standard of baseball and softball in Lesotho.

He said they are grateful to all those that prayed for their team and wished them well, and apologies are in order for any inconveniences caused in preparations and presentations of these games. Game results are as follow:

First Games (Thursday)
– Botswana 9 – Lesotho 0
– South Africa 10 – Lesotho 0

Second Games (Friday)
– South Africa 10 – Lesotho 0
Last game (Saturday)
– Botswana 26 – Lesotho 1

It is through this results the team obtained 3rd position and were awarded bronze medals and a softball full kit equipment intended to aid their development and growth of the game.
