Bantu Football Club “A Mats’o Matebele” humiliated Manjantja Football Club with a heavy score of 6-1 at Maputsoe Difa Ground to book their spot in LNIG top 8 semifinals.
Bantu FC advances with the aggregate of 9-1.
A Mats’o Matebele took control of the encounter at early stage as Bokang Sello’s pass found Liteboho Mohloki who tapped in to make 1-0 in favour of Bantu in 30 seconds of the play.
In 10th minute of the first half Bantu doubled their lead with Tsietsi Motšeare. However, Limpho Motanya of Majantja converted a long range free kick to make it 2-1.
Few minutes before the break, Tsietsi headed in to extent A Mants’o Matebele’s lead and a minute later Tsietsi registered his hat-trick to make it 4-1.
Litšepe Marabe and Hlompho Kalake who came in as substitutes registered their names in a score sheet helping Bantu to beat Majantja 6-1.
In the media briefing, Majantja’s head Coach Mr. Letsatsi Damane said his team was built up with the players from the development team with the aim to see if they can play better than the first team.
“We used our young players as to see whether they can perform better than the first team and also to build our team which will play a league because we saw from the first leg that we are not doing well in this competition (LNIG Top 8),” Damane explained.
Damane said that the young players did not play well and he doubt they will help in the league. He concluded that their technical team will scout other young players who will add value in a first team.
Meanwhile, Bantu’s head coach Mr. James Madidilani said his team played well hence why he cannot complain about their performance.
He concluded that they believe LNIG cup is for everyone, but they have to take each game at the time because their aim is also to defend their league title.
