
The Lesotho Football Association match Commissioners and referees will this weekend be engaged in several CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup matches across the African continent.
LeFA issued a statement today attributing that Mr Sekhonyana Seeiso will be the match Commissioner for the match between Mamelodi Sundowns and Otoho d’Oyo on Saturday.
The statement by LeFA Communication Officer Mr Mikia Kalati further indicated that Mr Mohau Sentšo will be the match Commissioner for a match between Joaneng Galaxy and Bolton City.
While Mr Lebalang Mokete, Mr Lesupi Puputla, Mr Moabi Makara and Mr Retšelisitsoe Molise are in Seychelles for a match between Cote D’Or and Fomboni.
Lastly, Mr Souru Phatšoane and Mr Osias Koto along with Mr Mapoho Mapoho are in Swaziland for a Confederations Cup match between Young Buffaloes of Eswatini against Buildcon of Zambia.
In an interview with Lesotho Sports Blizz (LSB) Kalati revealed that Lesotho referees have been performing well to get CAF recognition.
“This move shows growth in our standards of football”, continued Communication Officer.
He further stipulated that for the participating referees it means better remuneration for them officiating in the continental matches and also inspire other referees to work hard.
He concluded that their colleagues would respect their job in order to get such opportunities in future.
