The Lesotho Armature Athletics Association (LAAA) together with Equestrian Association of Lesotho will this weekend, Saturday and Sunday have events of 10km and 5km female races only in Hlotse Leribe on Saturday to celebrate Her Majesty Queen Masenate Mohato Seeiso’ s birthday.
Elite Lesotho female athletes are expected to attend this race. The race will start at 08:00 hrs near her home in Hlotse and will finish at Masenate High School. This year’s edition will also see an introduction of a Street mile for girls under the age of 15 & 14.
On Sunday will be a horse race at Peka where high profile officials are expected to grace the event. The first race will start at 10:00 hrs and more than 100 horses are expected to race in this Royal event in different divisions.
High profile horses such as Awesome Angel, Blue Touch, Patang, Mr. Royal and Madala Sek’hathe among others showcase in this event.
Races are sponsored by MGYSR, LSRC, Alliance Insurance Leribe, FNB Leribe, Square Butchery and Puma Garage Leribe.
