Lesotho men volleyball team Red Skins dominated national league since 2010 consecutively.
National league is comprised of eight men and women teams respectively.
The question is whether this team lacks competition in the country or not. As a result, Red Skins represented Lesotho in the club championships outside the country.
It has also sometimes qualified for the African Club Championships in Durban and Egypt to name a few.
This year they will meet their counterparts in Malawi for Zone VI Club Championships. This is an annual event.
When asked about this achievement the coach and founder of Red Skins Mr Tšepo Raletooane told Lesotho Sports Blizz that the team is always determined.
“Our players work very hard and they are passionate about the sport”, said head coach Raletooane.
He said Red Skins is highly disciplined when it comes to preparations of the matches and during the games.
The coach showed that as for the trip to Malawi they are still waiting for the response from Lesotho Sports and Recreation Commission (LSRC) if they will be able to assist.
The expectation is that LSRC should sponsor this trip.
Raletooane is adamant that they will represent Lesotho in club championships in Malawi by December, 2019.
In the meantime Red Skins women team has been grabbing most of the league competitions. They represented Lesotho interchangeably with Lesotho Defence Force and Mahlaseli volleyball clubs outside the country.
Likewise, they have qualified for next club championships next year. Both teams qualified when the current league ended last Saturday at Police Training College in Maseru.
Our publication approached the Lesotho Volleyball Association public relations officer Mr Buller Phalatsi, but communication was fruitless because he did not respond.
Lesotho Sports Blizz would love to know from him whether they will sponsor these teams to Malawi. Secondly, Phalatsi was expected to comment on the achievements attained by Red Skins since 2010.
