The Lesotho Football Association announced that they have terminated the engagement of Mr Bob Mafoso as the head coach of the Lesotho national under-20 team along with his technical team.
The statement showed that LeFA would make an announcement on the future coach at the appropriate time as it awaits recommendations from the Technical Director.
“We appreciate the commitment and hard work that Mr Mafoso and his technical team displayed during their tenure in charge of Makoanyane XI. We wish you well in your other endeavours”, said the statement.
Mafoso joined Makoanyane XI technical team as the assistant coach to Mr Leslie Notsi in 2017, where the team made it all the way to the final of the regional COSAFA Championship.
During Mafoso’s term Makoanyane XI was eliminated in the group stage in the last two editions of the tournament.
“LeFA will be making announcements regarding the new national team coaching model and national coaching cadre in due course”, concluded LeFA.
