Minister of Gender and Youth, Sports and Recreation Dr Mahali Phamotse encouraged business companies to collaborate with Lesotho National Insurance Group (LNIG) in the improvement of sports in the country.

Speaking in the press conference at Lesotho Football Association headquarters on January 29 this year during the launch of LNIG Top 8 tournament she expressed her gratitude to LNIG.
The minister indicated that investors help institutions that portray good governance.
Dr Phamotse said LNIG assist the government, because LeFA is accountable to the government. She emphasized that sports programmes should operate without any interferences in the country.
On the same occasion the LNIG Managing Director Mr Ralitapole Letsoela showed that this is the seventh year they support Premier League.
He declared that the initiators of this sponsorship work hand in glove with them, that is why they continue supporting sport in Lesotho.
“Challenges do occur but overcome through communication”, said LNIG boss.
He stressed that sometimes PLMC needs go beyond the budget, but they make sure that avail funds.
Mr Letsoela told the gathering that one million Maloti sponsorship would also cater for the media this year.

He concluded that the sponsorship is renewed annually.
The premier League Management Committee chairperson Mr Ikarabele Sello thanked LNIG.
“We are proud that PLMC has been working with LNIG for seven years”, uttered the chairman.
He said LNIG invests more funding in sports as compared to other sponsors.
