The International Police Association (IPA) Northern Region in Lesotho shows a significant revitalization currently.

For a couple of years this region was not active, but recently it is the great South that we know.
This was disclosed by the newly elected regional secretary Mrs Matšitso Motloung who has been re-elected as a secretary.
Motloung told our publication that on March 7, this year they hosted a very productive meeting at Leribe. She said the aim of the meeting was to elect the regional committee which they managed.
“The spirit is high recently and the membership is growing”, emphasized the secretary.
The newly elected committee comprised the following:
Chairperson: Mr Masupha Molapo
Deputy Chairperson: Mr Mpho Khabele
Secretary: Mrs Matšitso Motloung
Vice Secretary: Ms Sthembile Hlabathe
Treasurer: Mr Neo Moremoholo
In this meeting the National Executive Committee was represented by Ms Nthabiseng Matekane (Vice Secretary), Ms ‘Masenate Tšotetsi (Treasurer) , Mr Seabata Maepa (Trade) and Ms ‘Masechaba Temeki (Travel and Culture).
Temeki in an exclusive interview with Lesotho Sports Blizz said growth is tremendous in North Region.

“We were invited to observe while the new committee was elected, since there was a misunderstanding between the membership and the outgoing committee”, said Temeki.
She said there was a prevailing fear that members could exhibit dissatisfaction and obstruct the election processes.
“It is very important that members of NEC visit the regions during their annual meetings. We grab an opportunity to explain to the membership about the mandate of IPA”, concluded Temeki.
