“In our constitution we only have Secretary General”, said Kalati.
In an interview with LeFA Media officer Mr Mikia Kalati said this post does not appear in the LeFA’s constitution.
LeFA Media Officer when responding to the question of how long the appointment will last, he said the contract has not been finalized yet.
On the other side Mr Bullock confirmed to this publication that he has joined LeFA. But said he would not discuss what is in the contract.
The statement follows:
The Lesotho Football Association would like to announce the appointment of Mr. Chris Bullock as the deputy Secretary General.
This is for the first time in its history that LeFA has appointed a deputy Secretary General. LeFA has grown as an organisation hence the need to engage somebody with the expertise of Mr Bullock, as we move towards professionalisation of football in the country, which needs a lot of knowledge and skill.
The appointment of Mr. Bullock follows that of Mr. Mikia Kalati, as in the same way, it was also for the first time that the Association appointed a full time media officer and has brought a lot of expertise and experience with him in that department.
Mr. Bullock brings a lot of football experiences with him having worked at Kick4life FC since 2013 as the Director of Football. He is no stranger to the Lesotho Football Association having served the National Women’s Football Committee as the Secretary and the Women Super League as the chairman.
Mr Bullock holds a BSc Degree in Social Science of Sport and Business Studies from University of Surrey, Roehamton in the United Kingdom.
LeFA would also like to inform the football fraternity that long serving employee, Mr. Seephephe Matete has requested to be relieved off his duties as the National Team Coordinator to pursue his coaching career. LeFA has gladly accepted his request and has formally been released with best wishes as one of the most qualified coaches in the country.
Meanwhile, veteran coach Lehlohonolo Thotanyana has re-joined the Association to work as the Coach Educator as per the recommendation of FIFA. Mr Mojese Matamane has also replaced Mr. Mohaila Letseka as the Youth and Grassroots Development Coordinator.
