The director of Zone 4.5 Tournament Mr. Charles Masaiti confirmed the results of the online tournament, which played from October 16 to 18.
Initially the cases had been referred to chess.com, but later the director had to take over because chess.com delayed to take action.
Therefore, Angola led the teams, and then South Africa came the second, they were followed by Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Namibia., Malawi and Swaziland.
Zambia had lodged an appeal to the Technical Team concerning the results of chess competition.
The case was lodged to chess.com. by the complainants.
According to the Lesotho Chess Association public relations officer Mr Selatela Khiba there were two games involved, one involves a player from Botswana and a player from South Africa.
“Here we don’t really know what’s the bone of contention”, said Selatela.
He further indicated that another case was between SA and Angola, apparently, there was an incorrect score that could drastically change the rankings.
Selatela noted that currently they are at 6th position in rankings with 27 points cumulative,
