Lesotho Sports and Recreation Commission (LSRC) after prolong deliberations have immediately suspended all sporting activities until further notice.
This move comes after the after the recent speech of the Honourable Prime Minister Dr. Moeketsi Majoro of suspending a number activities and limiting movements.
The LSRC statement informed the federations and the stakeholders.
The Commission did this in the quest to curb the spread of the second COVID 19 wave that is more lethal as it is claiming lives of Basotho and across the globe.
LSCR urge all stakeholders to adhere to all procedures and regulations stipulated towards the fight against the pandemic.
In the same token, Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) had issued a press release to suspend its activities on January 5.
Immediate suspension of all LeFA competitions because of the resurgent Covid-19 pandemic was effected in consultation of national executive (NEC) of LeFA.
LeFA stakeholders include PLMC, ADMACO, B and C Management and the Women Super League Management.
They are expected to suspend all league games and group training sessions with effect from January 5 for an initial period of two weeks.
Press release further showed that NEC in consultation with NACOSEC and all parties concerned would review the duration of this suspension from time to time.
