Lesotho Football Association informed the nation that 18 local based players, seven officials and seven support staff (chefs, staff, and others who are likely to get in contact with the team) have tested negative as the camp commenced.
The national team will be at loggerhead for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with Sierra Leone on 22 March and Nigeria on 30 of the same month this year.
In a statement issued by LeFA on 19 February 2021, confirmatory test will be done on Tuesday next week.
There is no player or officials who will be joining the team will be allowed to access the team without testing and returning a negative test.
The statement further showed that there would be a number of tests being conducted throughout the duration of the camp.
On coming Monday, all staff members at the LeFA headquarters would do COVID 19 antibody tests to evaluate the risk component of the safe training bubble.
LeFa concluded by saying that football lovers would be updated regularly on the safe training bubble environment.
