The Lesotho Badminton Association will host an AIRBATMINTON Day on 24 April this year at Sefika high school in Maseru.
The event is funded with 5,000 dollars by the Badminton World Federation under its membership grants that were initiated for the first time in 2020.
The president of the Association Dr Moneuoang Leshota showed that this event was supposed to have taken place last year, but it did not kick off due to COVID 19 pandemic restrictions.
BWF membership grant programme is a four-year initiative instituted to assist all its members in specific areas.
Dr Leshota indicted that in 2019 BWF conducted a survey for all its 196 members to determine the specific needs for each member.
Badminton Lesotho identified four priority areas for assistance for the next four years as improvement and development of administration, coach education, school badminton and technical officials.
