The Lesotho Football Association issued a statement yesterday regarding three referees’ technical instructor’s course.
Mr. Khotso Makhetha, Tšeliso Mosehle and Mrs. Puleng Mahomo started participating in the FIFA FUTURO III online course on August 2, 2021.
“This will be the first FUTURO technical course for both Mosehle and Mahamo while Makhetha has participated in several FIFA FUTURO courses for technical instructors in the past”, said the Media Officer Mr. Mikia Kalati in the statement.
Mosehle has over the years worked as a physical instructor, but recently switched into technical to fill the space left by Mr. Rethusitsoe Lebaka, who passed away earlier this year.
According to LeFA statement, the course will be conducted by veteran FIFA and CAF Instructor Mr. Essam ABD EI Fattah and will run for four days.
There are 38 referees from different African countries that participated including Angola, Botswana, Eswatini, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana Kenya, Lesotho and Liberia, Malawi and Mauritius.
Each country has sent three participants except Eritrea, which assigned only two referees for this endeavour
Significant female instructors’ representation is manifested, hence, gender balance is achieved.
