Lesotho Badminton Association (LESBAD) will send two of its executive committee members to participate in the development course in Pretoria, South Africa.

The treasurer Rakhomo Mokhahlane and Referees director Retsepile Seloane have been selected to attend a week-long Women in Badminton (WIB) Administration course from December 9 to 12, 2021.
The course is intended for categories 4-7 of Badminton World Federation development.
“Lesotho is in category two, but benefiting because of our close proximity to South Africa”, highlighted LESBAD communication officer Moorosi Tsiane.
“The course is held under the auspice of the Commission on Gender Equality to try and improve the participation of women in badminton. Our president Dr. Moneoang Leshota heads the same commission”.
Tsiane showed that the course/workshop would be more of a brainstorming session with all the participants discussing challenges that face women’s participation in sport.
The participants will be learning about good governance and all things concerning administration.
They will also be meeting and interacting with women and men from the rest of Africa who are considered to be highly developed in badminton, to learn more about what other countries are doing.
The association had a few courses over the previous years as follow:
December 12 – 15, 2017 Maleshoane Matlanyane and Malereko Matlanyane attended a Badminton World Federation (BWF) National Administration Course in Pretoria, South Africa.
