The Lesotho Football Association on Friday last week visited the Lesotho Correctional Service Juvenile Training Centre, which is the home to 36 young detainees.
LeFA donated books, educational videos, footballs and sanitizers as part of its corporate social Investment.
“The association is aware of the role that the Lesotho Correctional Service plays in the rehabilitation of these youngsters, hence the donation of books, educational videos, sanitizers and footballs, which we believe will be helpful in the mandate to rehabilitate and educate the young detainees”, said LeFA statement.
The LeFA delegation was received by Juvenile Training Centre Deputy Head, Superintendent Paki Morakabi, who expressed his gratitude to the football mother body and stated that the donations fits the bill of what their institution needs in the rehabilitation of young detainees, which should not only be the responsibility of Lesotho Correctional Service.
