Prominent Lesotho Football Association Assistant Referee Souru Phatšoane has been assigned to officiate yet another high-profile match at the ongoing 2021 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Cameroon.
The Tšenola born referee is part of the match officials that will oversee Group E clash between Ivory Coast Algeria.
The two countries are ranked 3rd and 1st in the continent respectively.
The officiating team consists of Victor Gomes (South Africa) as the Central Referee, Zakhele Siwela (South Africa) as the first Assistant Referee, Souru Phatšoane (Lesotho) as the second Assistant, and Pacifique Ndabihawenjmana (Burundi) as the Fourth official.
This will be Phatšoane’s third match in the group stage of the tournament having already officiated other high-profile matches between Morocco v Ghana as well as Senegal v Guinea.
