Lesotho duo on continental assignment

The Lesotho Football Association Referees duo of Souru Phatšoane and Polotso Maapara will be on continental duty on Friday officiating in the CAF Champions League and CAF Women’s U-17 World Cup qualifiers respectively.    

Phatšoane will team up with the South African duo of Victor Gomes and Zakhele Siwela for the CAF Champions League clash between Algeria’s EF Setif V ES Tunis of Tunisia while Maapara will be part of the officiating team for the CAF U-17 World Cup qualifier between South Africa against Ethiopia.

In the meantime, the Lesotho Senior National Team, Likuena will return to work this coming Monday (18 April) with the provisional squad of 25 local-based players.

Coach Veselin Jelusic has once again included a host of new faces in the team such as Tlotliso Mapola from Kick4life football club, Lehlohonolo Matsau from Lesotho Defence Force F C, Katiso Thamae from Liphakoe and Retšelisitsoe Mopeli from Lijabatho F C.

Likuena returns to work ahead of Tuesday’s draw, where, the National Team will know its group stage opponents for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
