The Confederation of African Football (CAF), has accepted the Lesotho Football Association’s technical request to change Zambian match officials that were initially appointed to officiate the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Group H match between Likuena v Cote d’Ivoire scheduled for Dobsonville Stadium on June 7th.
This was due to the fact that Zambia is in the same group as Lesotho and CAF have since replaced the Zambian match officials with a quartet of referees from Zimbabwe.
LeFA further requests CAF to move Likuena v Cote d’Ivoire’s match
The Lesotho Football Association has written to the Confederations of African Football (CAF), requesting that its 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Group H match with Cote d’Ivoire be moved to a new date.
This effort will give Likuena players adequate time to recover from the jetlag and have proper preparations in between their two opening matches initially fixtured for June 3 and 7 respectively.
This, LeFA has done after establishing challenges that comes with flying in and out of Comoros, who host Likuena’s opening match of Group H on June 3 in Moroni, while the following match against Cote d’Ivoire is scheduled for Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto on June 7.
