Limkokwing University FC marksman Lemohang Lintša is over the moon following a late call-up to the Likuena provisional squad that is preparing for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Group H matches against Comoros and Cote d’Ivoire.
The Mohale’sHoek-born forward, the joint top goal scorer in the recently ended Nedbank 8 tournament, was a late addition to the Likuena squad alongside the Lifofane duo of Tom Nkune and Rethabile Senkoto as well as Lehlohonolo Lenka of LCS.
“Honestly, it’s a great feeling when I heard about it, I was so happy but also scared. It’s a feeling that you really don’t know how to celebrate because it comes with so much responsibility,” the striker said.
“Just to be there and wearing national colors means so much because even money can’t buy that. So yah I am happy for that call-up.”
Lintša admitted that training with the national team is a different ball game from what he has experienced in the A Division, but he is working hard to adapt to the new environment.
“Most definitely because I have learned so much for the past five days. Truly speaking, there is a big gap between the A Division and the National team. So, every day I try as much as I can to learn and work as hard as I can,” he said.
