The Lesotho Football Association referees department will ink yet another milestone when prominent Referee Mr. Osias Koto officiates the final of
COSAFA U-20 Championship in Eswatini as defending Champions Mozambique take on Zambia.
The match will also be overseen by LeFA’s veteran football administrator Mr. Khiba Mohoanyane as the Match Commissioner. The 2022 edition of the regional tourney are also the qualifiers for the 2023 TotalEnergies CAF U-20 tournament to be staged in Egypt early next year.
This will be for the fifth time in 2022 that the LeFA referees have been part of match officials officiating the final of a major regional or continental tournament.
Mr. Souru Phats’oane rewrote the history books earlier this year officiating the finals of both the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations and the Champions League and was followed by Mr. Siza Dlangamandla, who officiated the final of Hollywoodbets COSAFA Cup in Durban in July while Ms. Mathabo Kolokotoane was in charge of the Hollywoodbets COSAFA Women’s Championship final in Gqeberha in September.
The duo of Mr. Mohau Sentso and Mr. Souru Phats’oane were also in action on Saturday officiating the TotalEnergies Champions League and Confederations Cup matches in Angola and Dr. Congo respectively.
