Prominent Lesotho Football Association Assistant Referee, Souru Phats’oane, who recently returned home after officiating at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, is headlining a list of eleven Lesotho Football Association match officials that have made the FIFA International Panel for the 2023 football calendar.
The Lesotho panel comprises five Central Referees and six Assistant Referees, including four female match officials.
The LeFA match officials inked a new milestone in 2022, as Lesotho referees were involved in six international competitions finals for the very first time in the history of football in the country.
Phats’oane officiated the final of both the CAF Africa Cup of Nations as well as the CAF Champions League.
At the same time, each Osias Koto, Siza Dlangamandla, Mathabo Kolokotoane and Nkhobe Maketha were part of the referees that handled finals of different COSAFA competitions.
