The Leadership of the Lesotho Football Association is attending the FIFA Forward Tactical Planning Workshop in Paris, France.
The Workshop was opened by FIFA President Gianni Infantino and has been attended by all 54 CAF Member Associations bar Zimbabwe, which is still suspended by the football mother body while Kenya has made a comeback to the football family after its suspension was lifted by FIFA.
‘Making football truly Global,’ President Infantino informed the CAF MAs that this is his position regarding football.
He informed the plenary that FIFA has realized more revenues than anticipated. He highlighted and amplified the importance of having money and being able to use it prudently on football matters.
He also spoke about the increased number of African men’s teams in the next world cup, from 5 to 9.5. Increased women’s teams in the women’s world cup.
He also spoke about the annual u17 world cup that starts next year.
He also talked about the efforts that FIFA is undertaking to ensure that African MAs benefit from the player transfers even after players move to Europe in the inter-club transfers within the eurozone.
He concluded by thanking all CAF MAs for showing faith and trust in him for running the organization.
Furthermore, the leadership of the Lesotho Football Association and its Secretariat, wish to convey its heartfelt condolences to the family of the LeFA Secretary General Mr. Mokhosi Mohapi on the passing of his father, ntate Motloang Lawrence Mohapi.
LeFA is also mourning the death of ntate Thotho Makama Ramohanyane, who is the father of DIFA Thaba Tseka District Administrator Officer, Mr. Nthati Ramohanyane.
Our hearts and prayers are with our two colleagues as they mourn their beloved fathers. We wish them strength at this difficult period as the Secretary-General lost his father while on duty outside the country.
